Consultation
When you come to Kate Allen Aesthetics for wrinkle relaxers in Silverdale, your trained injection specialist will first provide a free consultation to ensure you are an ideal injection candidate and discuss your goals to recommend which injectable will best meet your needs. When complete, you will know how much product we will inject and precisely what it will cost.

Your Botox®, Dysport®, and Relfydess® Injections
We then study your facial expressions and create light marks to indicate where we will make the injections. Most patients report no or minimal discomfort; however, we can provide a topical anesthetic as needed. After the quick injection process, we will assess the treated area to ensure the proper placement of the botulinum toxin.

Next Steps
We’ll answer any questions about the treatment, give you instructions on the best ways to maintain results, and assist you in scheduling any follow-up appointments you need. When you leave our Silverdale clinic, you can return to daily activities; however, we ask that you stay out of the sun without protection and keep your head upright for 4 hours.

Prior to Your Wrinkle Relaxers in Silverdale, Kate Allen Aesthetics Recommends:
It is essential that you let us know of any medications/supplements or medical history prior to your treatment.
Please do not exercise on the day of your treatment (before or after).
To reduce the risk of bruising, we recommend you avoid non-prescribed supplements and medications 3 days before your treatment. These include fish/krill/omega oil, vitamin E, non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (such as neurofen, aspirin & voltaren), ginkgo, garlic/ginger/turmeric supplements & evening primrose oil.
3 Days Before
To reduce the risk of bruising, we recommend you avoid non-prescribed supplements and medications 3 days before your treatment. On the day of Treatment
Avoid exercise, spa baths, saunas and caffeine.
Zinc Supplements
Consider a zinc supplement in the weeks leading up to your Botox injections. Studies have shown insufficient levels of zinc in the body are related to lower efficacy of Botox and other injectables.
Retinoid Products
Retinoid (Vitamin A) may be used up until the day of treatment (discontinue use 2 days prior if you have sensitive or irritated skin)
Avoid Alcohol
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to injections, as this too can thin the blood and cause bruising during treatment.
Drink Water
Make sure your skin is properly hydrated by drinking adequate amounts of water and using moisturizer morning and night.
Post Treatment
Post-Care Instructions
Following Your Treatment For Botox®/Dysport®/Relfydess® in Silverdale, Kate Allen Aesthetics Recommends:
No rubbing or applying pressure to the treated area
Avoid anything that applies pressure or massaging the injection site for at least 3 days following your treatment (you may gently cleanse/moisturise and apply sunscreen or gentle make up).
Stay Upright
Keep your head upright for at least 4 hours to help reduce swelling and speed up the recovery process.
Sunlight/Sunscreen
Avoid direct sunlight and use sunscreen regularly.
Avoid For 5 Days
Avoid scrubs, facial massages and abrasive cleansers for at least 5 days to ensure you do not disrupt the precisely-injected Botox®, Dysport®, or Relfydess®.

Sleeping
Sleep with your face up and slightly elevated if you are experiencing swelling.
Physical Activity
Avoid strenuous activity or aerobics for 24 hours after your injections.

- When will I see results?

After receiving your injections for Botox®, Dysport®, and Relfydess® at Kate Allen Aesthetics, you may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours. Peak results are at 2 weeks following treatment.
- How long do the results last?

The results of Botox®, Dysport®, and Relfydess® may last up to 3-6 months, depending on the patient’s patient factors, dose and botulinum toxin. Individual treatment results will vary.
- How much time does it take to receive a Botox injection?

The Botox®, Dysport®, or Relfydess® injection process is quick. Once your consultation has been completed and we’ve devised a treatment plan for how to treat your wrinkles, the injection process only takes about 10 minutes.
- Will my face look overdone or unnatural?

- How many Botox injections should I get?

The number of injections will depend on the severity and number of lines you have. Generally, for crow’s feet, we suggest a few injections into the muscle areas that frame the side of each eye. For frown lines, you may receive up to 5-7 injections. For forehead lines specifically, you may receive up to 5-10 injections into the muscle.
- Do men get Botox or Dysport treatments?

Absolutely! Botox®, Dysport®, and Relfydess® treatments on men is standard at our practice. Crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines are not exclusively an area of concern for women. Men get these wrinkles over time and may wish to look refreshed and rejuvenated.
